An exciting bus tour and fabulous river cruise all in one!
These fantastic amphibious vehicles start as a bus tour and drive past famous London landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square before a dramatic launch into the River Thames at Vauxhall for the boat tour part of the 75 minute tour of London.
The excitement of seeing London in this novel way is enhanced by an entertaining, action packed commentary by our tour guides providing an alternative view of London's history, plus fascinating facts and figures about the DUKW vehicles themselves. The famous duck tour has created an exciting adventure for visitors to London taking in the sights by road and river. No one has ever seen anything like it before on the streets of London, let alone the river!
The conspicuous yellow vehicles attract a lot of attention making this a special adventure for kids and the tour is wonderfully complimented by the action-packed commentary of the guides.
All of our gift experiences are presented in an attractive red case with "Congratulations - you are the lucky recipient of a Well Wicked experience day" written on the front. You will also get a DVD featuring many of our experiences. Experience vouchers can be personalised if required.
The Duck Tour lasts approx 75 minutes but you must arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure time. The tour consists of 45 minutes on the road and 30 minutes on the river.
The tour departs from Chicheley Street (SE1 7PJ). This is approximately 100 yards to the rear of the London Eye. The nearest tube and overground station is London Waterloo. There is a car park by the Royal Festival Hall just along the South Bank.
The duck travels in all weathers except high winds and other very dangerous circumstances. The decision regarding unsafe weather conditions is made at the company's discretion. On such a day where tours are cancelled due to hazardous weather or dangerous circumstances a voucher for another day will be offered to passengers affected. If a voucher is unacceptable then the passenger is entitled to a full refund.
We do not recommend children under the age of 3, as it is a long tour and there is no safety equipment on board for them (seat belts and baby chairs). Parents can take them on board at the child rate and at their own risk (infants are free of charge). An adult must accompany a child under the age of 17. There are no storage facilities on board therefore pushchairs and wheelchairs are not permitted, they can however be left with staff at your own risk.
