Power Boating Experience

Fancy a taste of the highlife? Experience a breathtaking cruise on this luxury powerboat. Soak up the atmosphere and lifestyle with the power of the engines as it propels you around the beautiful Solent. You also have the opportunity to take control of this simply stunning yacht. You really will feel like part of the rich elite.

You will meet at the marina then settle on board with a full safety briefing from the skipper and crew. Then at a steady 6 Knots leave the marina, taking in the sights of the QM2 docks and other cruise ships on their docks, whilst at this speed the crew can go through basic navigation rules of the road, direction of buoys, use of the garmin touch screen plotter and answer any questions you may have.

On reaching the end of the speed limit area, the throttles are opened with a speed of up to 36 knots and feeling the power of this exciting vessel, the skipper will then demonstrate what she can do!

Once conditions allow, you will get a turn at the helm, steering a course via basic use of the plotter and skipper instruction to the Isle of Wight through the open waters of the Solent. On reaching the mouth of the River Medina we will slow back to 6 knots and travel upstream taking in the sights of both East and West Cowes, home of the world famous sailing regatta. Then its back down to the open water again and time to steer a 'fast' course back to Southampton.

All of our gift experiences are presented in an attractive red case with "Congratulations - you are the lucky recipient of a Well Wicked experience day" written on the front. You will also get a DVD featuring many of our experiences. Experience vouchers can be personalised if required.

Duration

This is a half day experience consisting of approx four hours sailing, allow four and a half hours in total for this boat experience.

Locations

Southampton, Hampshire. You will meet at the Banana Wharf Bar/Restaurant, which overlooks the stunning marina for complimentary tea and coffee before your amazing boating experience will begin.

Available between April to October, this experience is weather dependent.

Restrictions

Not suitable for anyone with a serious back or heart complaint or for a pregnant women. Maximum weight of 18 stone per person. Minimum age of 10 years old, younger if they have had previous boating experience. Please note all children must wear a life jacket supplied by us at all times. We regret no disabled person can participant due to access.

Dress Code

Sunglasses, hat/cap, sun cream, camera and wear comfortable flat non slip footwear such as trainers or deck shoes. Dress warmly and bring waterproofs as there is a high wind chill factor aboard the boat.

Spectators

Spectators can wave off from marina. There are many local attractions all within 5 minutes walk, 2 cinemas, bars and restaurants and a shopping mall.

Other Details

This experience will be shared with up to 7 other participants plus 2 crew members (depending on your numbers). Insurance is included. This experience is weather dependent and could be cancelled due to bad weather, in this case we will arrange another date. There is a car park with security less than 120 metres from the boat and next to the car park there are toilets and showers, there are also a number of restaurants and bars within the marina. Parking is £1 per hour and the machine will only take £1 coins, please always allow for extra time.

The operators of this amazing sailing experience will take a photograph of your experience and send this to you as a momento of your enjoyable day.
